Training workshop on Criteria of AUN-QA assessment at Program Level at the University of Economics, the University of Danang (Aug 4 2016)


In order to equip staff of the University of Economics with knowledge and skills necessary for  involving in the process of self-assessment, improvement of training under AUN- QA standards,  the University of Economics, the University of Da Nang (DUE) has organized training workshop on introducing the AUN-QA Criteria in Meeting Hall A on 10/10.
 


 
Assoc.Prof. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen – Vice Rector of DUE delivered speech with strong expression on the importance and significance of Education Quality Accreditation under AUN standards
 
Speaking at the Workshop, Vice Rector Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen stressed: "AUN-QA standards are the target to which many Universities in Vietnam have been directed. Many such universities have applied and implemented successfully as Can Tho University, National University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology ...
 For the situation of DUE, implementation of training program accreditation under AUN-QA has been determined as one of strategic goals in the period 2015 - 2020. It will be the foundation for the University to promote strength, improve the quality of teaching and learning environments. Also, it will  be an affirmation of the outcomes quality, creating reliable basis for employers to select candidates from a prestigious recognized University. Through it, the university also identified its ranking position in Southeast Asia, gradually reaching  international standards in the future. "

At the meeting, the officials and staff came together to learn about the AUN standards such as purpose of implementation, the common model, the standard document, roadmap of implementation and especially 11 specific criteria under the guidance of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet. Besides, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet also shared experiences in collecting proof, writing self-assessment report ... and answered questions.
 

Ending the training, participants were equipped with knowledge necessary for AUN standards on training programs accreditation. Reportedly, in parallel with other activities in the roadmap, this was the second time of the workshop to be oarganized with an aim to disseminate and fully update information necessary for all staff of the university. This is a prerequisite for all staff to develop the spirit of enthusiasm and responsibility to work together to prepare for the next step towards external evaluation in 2017.
