In the morning of March 19th, the University of Danang (UD) organized the opening ceremony of the first course named “Auditor training course for testing the quality of higher education and vocational training college” with the participation of 59 management officers, teaching staffs from different universities in Central Area and Highlands of Vietnam.
"This is an intensive training courses on knowledge to improve the capacity, train skills and attitudes in the field of educational quality assurance and accreditation, help staff to carry out well responsibilities and tasks of accreditation of the higher education and vocational training collegequality as well as be confident to participate in external accreditation teams. Besides, this is also the team not only directly taking part in implementing the educational quality assurance activities of university but also contributing to culture of quality accreditation" – Assoc. Prof. Doan Quang Vinh, Vice President of UD, Director of Centre for Education Accreditation of UD said.
Dr. Le My Phong - Head of Education Quality Accreditation Office, Educational Testing and Accreditation Department, MOET required students to study in the spirit of "positively exchanging with lecturer and sharing experiences with colleagues" to improve and enhance the professional capacity of auditors as well as contribute to build and form a high qualified force of educational inspectors.
Currently, Dr. Le My Phongsaid that in the field of accreditation of higher education and vocational training collegequality, there are 473 auditors granted certificates in the whole country including 136 granted membership cards.
Educational Quality Accreditation is a popular concept in the higher education and vocational training collegesystem in Vietnam for over 10 years and received the attention of the whole society. Through quality accreditation activities, parents, students and the community will know the educational institution and training programs which have been evaluated and recognized as a quality standard university by MOET.
Results of educational quality accreditation is a measure to confirm the quality of each university as well as the quality of training programs. The accurate, objective, fair accreditation is the responsibility of the Centre for Education Accreditation which auditors take an important role in implementing. Therefore, the organization ofthe course named “Auditor training course for testing the quality of higher education and vocational training college” is extremely significant and a very urgent requirement in the current background.
