To realize Education Quality Assurance plan of the University of Danang (UD) for the year 2013, Training Conference on Universities and Colleges’Strategic Planning was held at UD in June 7, 2013thanks to the support of Aston University, United Kingdom. The conference helped to strengthen professional training for staff and experts relating to strategic planning for Universities and subordinate units .
The conference had the presence of highly qualified rapporteurs from Aston University including Prof. Alison Halstead, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Sue Garton, Director of Postgraduate Programmes; Dr. Terry Hodgetts, Director of the Center for Executive Development. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam, President of UD chaired the conference. Conference attendees includedofficials, experts directly involved in strategic planning at the functional department, UD Office and UD’s members
At the conference, Assoc. Dr. Tran Van Nam, President of UD emphasized onthe important role of strategic planing for sustainable development of UD’s members in particular and UD in general. The UD’s mission, vision, values, objectives, development strategyshould be focused on not only teachers and students but also parents, the businesses and social community.
The conference participants had actively finished all the assignments at the request of the rapporteur. The organization of Training Conference on Strategic Planning of Universities and College was the foundation for UD and its unit members to review and adjust the plan to ensure the Education Quality Assurance Plan of the University.
